Social Media Coordinator (Part-Time)
Location: In-person, Severna Park & Annapolis
Schedule: Part-time, fixed weekly schedule (average 10–15 hours/week)
Compensation: Hourly, based on experience
Reports to: Marketing Manager
Hiring timeline: Open until filled (looking to hire ASAP)
What This Role Does
This role owns day-to-day social media execution for The Cottage. You’ll plan, create, schedule, and manage content across our social platforms, while actively engaging with our community and growing our audience.
You will need to understand our core customer and create content that speaks directly to her.
Responsibilities
Social Media Execution

Execute the overall social media strategy

Plan and research content ideas based on season, events, and product launches

Create and schedule reels and static posts

Write captions that align with our brand voice

Keep digital profiles updated (events, seasonal changes, promotions)
Community Management

Monitor and respond to comments and messages

Engage with followers consistently

Reach out for local collaborations and partnerships

Identify opportunities to increase engagement and visibility
Growth & Performance

Own social media growth

Track basic engagement metrics

Suggest ideas to improve reach and performance
Time Commitment

Average 10–15 hours per week

Hours may increase during peak seasons, especially October–December
What We’re Looking For

Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest & TikTok

Comfortable on video and behind the camera

Creative, organized, and self-motivated

Understands trends but knows how to adapt them to our brand

Detail-oriented and responsive

Comfortable engaging directly with customers online

Brings ideas, not just execution
Experience & Skills

Experience managing social media for a brand or business

Comfortable creating reels and short-form video content

Basic graphic skills (Canva or similar)

Strong writing skills
-
Retail, fashion, or lifestyle brand experience is a bonus
